After a 5 year drought Vern and I are finally back to working through our f*ckit list – travelling and living our dreams. Wow, the reality has not quite hit, however, I can sense with anticipation that delicious feeling through my being when we head for the airport and finally take off.

Our last adventure was 2019 – Russia, Northern Europe, Southern Italy and Portugal. Life before Covid was sweet. When we returned I started a new job and then a series of horrid things happened, the Whakaari eruption (White Island – connected to my workplace), both my parents passing away in close succession, family disintegration and betrayal and the legal battles ongoing with no resolution in sight.

It’s made me question a lot of things and affected me to my core. However, this travel adventure is a little bit more special because of it; our way of claiming back our lives and dreams – now and for the future.
