It’s official we are off!

Here is us at Auckland Airport after a final NZ Skype call to Lili. Gosh we were so tired with lots of last minute jobs to be done before departing and we still didn’t complete them by 1am in the morning. No matter how organised you think you are you always seem to find more to do! Waiting to board we saw a deceased person being off-loaded from an Air NZ plane …. Sobering thought and thinking how it must not be a pleasant experience for any involved.

The flight with Malaysian airlines was comfortable, clean and great service. Neither of us managed to sleep although we rested well. A tail wind cut off an hour from the trip which was nice. We arrived 8pm local time to a warm humid evening. The transfer to hotel was good (pre booked via travel agent) and on arrival at the hotel we got a free upgrade to a one bed apartment with amazing views of the Petronus Towers. Crashed out 11pm local time or NZ time 3am.
